@3) what I really meant was the COMPOSE key and not the SUPER key. I thought
they where the same but they are not. Thanks for clearing that up Rico.

Let's focus on the _original_ bug (point 2) where you simply hit the key on the
keyboard and don't use COMPOSE. See normal German keyboard, where umlauts are
separate keys: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout#Austria_and_Germany

I also can reproduce it on an US_international keyboard layout where you can
get umlauts conveniently with altgr + P, Q or Y (This has nothing to do with
compose). I usually use this layout.

Please set the Status to NEW because it has been confirmed.
Has anyone an idea what this bug could be?
