I managed to log in via chromium incognito mode, but only after both resetting
from chrome as either resetting or logging in in firefox caused the problem.
After deleting cookies from bugs.winehq.org I managed to log in on firefox, on
both accounts.

It may well have been user error since it seems to be working fine now, but I
have no idea what it was.

I'll email again if I run into this problem again, thanks Jeremy.
