Now that the rawinput patches got in Wine, I retested the game with (vanilla)
Wine 1.5.13 and 1.5.14.
To my surprise, the game still crashes on startup, just as before, so this bug
is still alive.
With a Wine 1.5.12 + rawinput patch combo, the game starts fine.
