Using
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/firefox-23.0a1.en-US.win32.installer.exe

Works fine here in wine-1.5.28-165-gc11da76.

You're running the program incorrectly:
> wine .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Nightly/firefox.exe 

you need to cd to the directory first.
