Tested in both LXDE and Unity on Ubuntu. Unity is not the culprit.

When you press the F4 key, the game goes into a 'split' fullscreen and the
mouse pointer shows.  Moving the mouse pointer to the left, in fullscreen,
allows you to play this game in fullscreen.

The mouse pointer should not be showing in fullscreen and you should not have
to move it over to the left.  

It's almost working properly.  Previously it would not even go into fullscreen
at all.
