None of my Steam games startup or a cam design software (Dynacam) I had to use,
sorry for generalizing then, Henri and Rosanne. Notepad does work.

While I was searching how to disable xrandr, I checked my /var/log/Xorg.0.log
and found the following line (163):

> [    41.267] (--) RandR disabled

It doesn't seem to have been triggered by any particular event, to what I can
evaluate. I will attach my Xorg.0.log in case any of you wants to take a quick
look.
