The AppDB suggests that this error was present in Wine 1.5.22.

I simply don't have the time to test this right now. The best thing to do is
try wine-1.5.12-157-gbdf9a9f and see if it is works. If it does then there is a
new regression and a regression test is needed.

If it doesn't then it may be related to Mac OS X *or* it could be that the
original bug was transient, although I do remember testing this multiple times
so I'm convinced the original is fixed. It's a moot point anyway as the cause
of the problem was never identified.
