I stopped playing when CCP deleted every character portrait, the final straw so
to speak, which was around about when I wrote the previous comment.  One of
Eve's features was a persistence world ... but too many of it's memories have
been deleted on a whim for my liking.  :(

OP has vanished, and still not linked it to Eve's AppDB entry, and the bug was
always a glitchy behaviour of first setting.  Once the screen-mode was set
correctly, the bug went away.  I never sorted a consistent way to reproduce.

Mark this bug as abandoned.
