What is « only native d3dx9_36/d3dx9_28 and xact_jun2010 were installed » ?
I did not install anything else than wine and game in order to play. Are these
packages corresponding to your distro for wine ?

Just to double check that we speak about the same thing, I've attached 2
screenshots to this bug. Can you please confirm that what you see does match
with attachment named « Splash screen (just before game starts) » ?

I see in your log file that you have latests patches for BB LE, I'll give it a
try after installing them (until now, I only had 2.0.0.0 version installed on
my ubuntu box).

Note also that I use wine version 1.7.8 (package wine1.7, version
1.7.8-0ubuntu1).
