Clamp power before applying it to glMaterialf.

You may give this patch a try, but I don't think this is the problem.

What's needed to get the app working til the hang? Does it need some special
version of ie?

All I did:
1. get the downloader
2. run the downloader in a new prefix (will download bfgclient and install it)
3. This shows an empty page (most likely html rendering problems)
