This bug report hasn't been updated for 2 years. Is this still an issue with
recent Wine versions (1.5.22 or newer)?

I can't seem to reproduce the problem either in 1.3.12 or 1.5.22. What I do see
is that the toolbar containing the icons was empty with 1.3.x but it is no
longer an issue with 1.5.22. Tested under Gnome 3 and XFCE 4.10, Xorg 1.12.4.
