Still an issue in 1.6-rc4 (tested retail CD version patched to 1.30). No online
connectivity in game.

I dug out an old Windows XP laptop and installed the game there, and could
connect online fine. Despite it being quite old, the servers are still running.
I also quickly did a tcpdump capture running with Wine but still didn't see any
network traffic.

Seems safe to say that the status is unchanged.
