Does your wineprefix's "My Documents" Folder link to your home folder? This is
necessary for the path ~/SART/settings.xml to work. Otherwise you'll have to go
directly into your wineprefix and go into your "My Documents" Folder there.

I can't really see how a virtual desktop would prevent a crash if you truly
managed to turn off fullscreen mode.
