I have the same issue using Wine 1.6 and Chantelise 1.16 from Steam.

The EasyGameStation/Carpe Fulgur game Recettear used to give very similar error
messages on startup in Wine before an update silenced the messages. My
understanding is Recettear was built on the Chantelise engine.

This is rampant speculation, but Recettear suffers from a display bug in Wine
due to lack of VertexBlend support, which has led to crashes in some
situations. Could this be an effect of the same bug? (See bug #6955)
