Well, comment 5 says "If i take this patch back to 1.0.1 or reported-working
1.1.15, application runs but i still see the weird value." so I suppose 1.1.15
would be the "last known good version", and "1.2-rc3" the "first known bad
version" for the regression test?

Compiling 1.1.x might be difficult on a recent distro, though. And not being
able to install without ies4linux will not help of course.

Maybe you could find a binary wine package for your distribution? 

Or could someone else with money 2k program available try on his/her own?
