I get the same app crash in win7 mode (no window displayed/wine hangs) with
wine-1.6-rc2 (in AMMYY_service.log)

Difference from XP mode: 

fixme:ntdll:NtQueryInformationToken QueryInformationToken( ..., TokenElevation,
...) semi-stub
fixme:process:SetProcessShutdownParameters (00000100, 00000000): partial stub.
fixme:ntdll:NtSetInformationToken unimplemented class 12

I still get the issue with 1.5.20 and 1.5.21 which apparently worked for you (I
used 32-bit wine on x86_64).

What was the last known version that worked for you?
