the build script referenced does not match the gcc commandline posted.


e.g. it does not contain portions of this:
  make CFLAGS+="-mincoming-stack-boundary=2"
CXXFLAGS+="-mincoming-stack-boundary=2"


Btw, if you remove the CFLAGS+= and CXXFLAGS+= adjustments from here (and move
them up where you edit CFLAGS already), you probably also fix the
fortify_source reenablement
