As of 1.5.29 (Gentoo AMD64), this bug appears to fixed for me; FINAL FANTASY XI
will now run in non-managed windowed mode with a couple of small caveats that
probably aren't directly related to this issue.

 Other people on the CCs, please test and confirm.
