Judging by the date the most probably version the user was using is Explorer++
1.2 released in September 2010.

I can still reproduce the issue, it's somewhat random. To reproduce it click on
My Computer in the left tree, click twice in Drive C in the right pane. This
will open a new tab. Try to go back to the My Computer tab. Now go back to C
and try to close it. If the problem does not happen switch tabs and try again.
