I am seeing a similar 'RtlpWaitForCriticalSection' err when trying to install
sql server express 2005. The following error repeats itself: 

err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x781c1be0 "?" wait timed out in
thread 0027, blocked by 0000, retrying (60 sec)

wine 1.7.7-86-g6d0d018
winetricks mspatcha (used to get around bug 12501)
