Hi,
I have tried several versions including the official demo (that's what I
started with actually). The output I included is from running the official
demo.

I'm starting to think it may be the driver problem. I tried the game on other
laptop with nVidia graphics and got the very same problem. Then I tried
installing the proprietary nVidia drivers and the game worked just fine.
