Hi,

I've compiled 1.7.1 with the patch on Ubuntu 12.04.1 (i686 - virtualized), then
tested with SC2 on Ubuntu 12.04.3 x86-64.
H/W is Intel Core i7-3770k (HT enabled), 32 GB Ram, GTX 680 2GB VRam (nVidia
drivers 325.15); screenshots below are taken in 3600x1080, where the game was
running in full screen (1920x1080) on primary display and on secondary display
one can see the system monitor; I hope this is useful too.
SC2 was executed with all graphical details 'EXTREME' and with Ctrl+Alt+F to
display FPS.

SC2 Settings:

Vanilla:

CSMT:

As you can see, results are mind-blowing; in one case it goes from 15 --> 53
FPS, in another 8 --> 24 FPS.
I did experience the 'white' background issue when enabling CSMT, but I believe
Stefan is already aware of it. I am genuinely speechless.

Cheers,
Ema

Ps. Funny thing, I still play SC2 with shaders 'LOW', it's a lot cleaner during
proper games :-)
