Thanks, Anastasius. Sorry to waste your time, I should have searched old bugs
more carefully.

After installing the update the game still runs fine, I tried wine 1.1.44 and
wine 1.2.3 and I can't see the crash (although it runs unplayable slow) so
resolving WORKSFORME.
