I have the same problem. So does anyone who tries to play the game under wine.
I've read that it's a problem of some sort with the game's dx9 mods which
doesn't occur under dx10/11 in windows.

Anyway, the problem is that the player character appears to have shiny black
skin no matter which skin tone is selected. Nothing can be done to alleviate
this problem. I have ubuntu 14.10 x64, nvidia 346.16 and wine 1.7.31.
