In my edition of Office 2010 the dialog for saving as a PDF does not have a
"Publish" button; the button is marked "Save". The corresponding dialog in
Office 2007 does say "Publish" on the button. Are you sure you are using Office
2010 and not Office 2007?

Neither version of Office needs native msxml6. Please retest in a clean
wineprefix. 

I can't reproduce the problem in either Office 2007 or 2010. Tested in 1.7.33.
