Thanks a lot for the comments provided!

I updated to Wine v1.7.33, and the installation succeeds. Afterwards, I can
launch Olympus Viewer 3, so this issue can be closed.

However, the program is unusable because it crashes all the time and I cannot
edit any photo with this... I will have to run it in a VM or on another
computer I'm afraid...
