This is still here in the 1.7.x series.

I encountered this when playing Hotel Giant, I put it into a virtual desktop
(as the game forces a resolution of 800x600) but it grabs the mouse and limits
it to that virtual desktop. An option (or workaround) to disable this sort of
behavior would be pretty useful.
