Yes, this was the full log.  Version 4.0 is what is delivered with
the SSDs.  I wasn't aware that a new version is available.  I tried to
install 4.2.1 as well, and the installation worked fine.  Just the
application itself eventually crashes due to some unsupported ioctl's.
This is with Fedora 20 wine 1.7.8-1.

Anyway, this has nothing to do anymore with WMI, so I close this bug
report.  Sorry for the noise.
