Had to unset them:
$ unset http_proxy
$ unset HTTP_PROXY

I now get a pitch black window and this in logfile:
"err:d3d:resource_init Out of adapter memory"

I set VideoMemorySize to correct size (correct place), but no change. No other
3D program is running, other "complex" games like Postal2/SimCity4 did run.

I upgrade now to latest GIT/master. :)
