Its also Windows Application Compadiblity issue.  UNC paths and / acceptance
under Windows.  That windows applications are allowed to accept.

Problem is I cannot see that the usage cases cannot be address by shell script
wrappers so avoiding the UNC issues.  Yes documentation update not a patch to
wine.

The question is it major code fix or major documentation fix.
