Having the same issue here.

lubuntu 13.04 x64 3.8.0-35-generic

Also know at least one person on arch having to downgrade to 1.7.10 due to the
same problem.

Couple of days ago have done regression testing, and the commit that breaks it
for me is f8e62bc5962bc71ed584fd35329aba180f5e9df3

Also ran debug with trace+d3d,+relay,+seh,+tid. The whole log is 2,4Gb, so
can't really attach it. Did manage to find the place where it breaks though.
Don't really know what to look for, so attaching the part from the last d3d
trace to the seh exception
