Still in wine 1.7.22, the easiest way to test is:

1) Create a clean wineprefix, install vb6run with winetricks;
2) Copy everything from the Visual Studio 6 CD folder OS/SYSTEM to
windows/system32;
3) Run VB98/VB6.EXE from the CD;
4) Create a empty project and click twice in the empty form;
5) Type "msgbox("
