Actually, I was testing on my desktop using gentoo/gcc-4.8.2, but I can see the
same issue on my laptop (fedora rawhide), with gcc-4.9.0. Using gcc-4.8.3 on my
laptop avoids the issue.

I was not aware of gcc-4.9.0 being buggy, the only issue I'm aware of was in
msi, bug 36139, which is fixed.
