This is further than I've got so far, so thank you for your help. The granta
website has nothing on Dao libraries unfortunately. Anything you could suggest

'winetricks -q jet40' should do it.

Anyway ... by installing MS .NET Framework 2.0/4.0 this bug is now a Wine-Mono
one.
