No, it still runs fine.

As Nikolay said: if the app/installer doesn't explicitly request 'Windows 7'
don't change it.

Higher Windows version doesn't automatically mean the app runs better.
In fact there are various scenarios where changing the default settings makes
things worse (use of newer Windows API which are unimplemented/insufficient).
