Found an archived 'backup' online, thanks for still seeding legacy software.

The app checks for the existence of 'c:\\windows\\system32\\$winnt$.inf' (for
whatever reasons) and doesn't handle failure well.

Use the following workaround to create an empty placeholder:

$ wine cmd.exe /c "echo.>%windir%\\System32\\\$winnt\$.inf"

After that the app runs fine - it doesn't even open the empty placeholder.

$ wine --version
wine-1.7.14-185-g5cf20ce
