Buziol games, we are unable to enter gameplay as there is no response from the
keyboard when entering the "Select world" screen. In this screen, you are
supposed to be able to move Mario with the keyboard arrow buttons as well as
jump with the shift button."

I could say exact the same thing.

I can confirm that the game works like it should everywhere but the starting
game screen.

The game responses to

esc (back in menus)
mouse (not limited movement)
p (pause, this works game menu where other keys dont)
up arrow, down arrow, w,s,a,d, space when assigning keys (those I tried)

My +key +keyboard logs are very similar.

It seems that the game  (or wine) doesn't know what location keyboard I have.


I think this is easy to fix.
