I ran into the exact same problem with StudioTax 2013,
and thus could not complete the installation,
running wine-1.7.17 with WINEARCH=win32
on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "trusty" amd64.

However, other testers have reported success on i386, and have given StudioTax
"platinum" and "gold" status on AppDB.

So, perhaps this bug is specific to amd64?
