That may be bug 1886. Can you try with winetricks -q wmp9 (works here). Make
sure your winetricks is up to date, to handle newer wine's builtin wmp.dll.

It sort of works in wine-1.7.18-22-ge399729. The visualization displays, but
temporarily hangs every few seconds. When doing so, I see:

that should be a different bug, however.
