I am able to run PlanetSide (the final version released by Sony due to
End-of-life) on wine-1.6.2 with a fresh prefix. The Launcher installs,
downloads, verifies, and runs the game with only a resolved library issue. I
recommend this bug be closed as the wine version used was extremely old (not to
mention the PlanetSide version).

The only issue I experienced while trying to get it to run was a missing
libtxc_dxtn.so (resolved by HOWTO at the bottom of
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=5436). Otherwise
absolutely smooth play.
