Sorry, but I never said that installing wine-1.7.19-70-xxxx is the solution.

I gave the solution here (quoting myself):

You seem to have my version info on the bottom misinterpreted for the solution:

$ wine --version
wine-1.7.19-70-gd6a59f7

This information is for myself and other developers to indicate the Wine
version I used to reproduce the bug (usually tip of GIT master branch).
Also checksum and sizes of the installer/binaries.

It's not meant for end users.

Anyway, you've found my workaround in the end. Good to hear it works for you.
