I ran RCT.exe from terminal emulator and after attempting to load a game the
console said: 

fixme:d3d_shader:upload_palette P8 surface loaded without a palette.
fixme:ole:RemUnknown_QueryInterface No interface for iid
{00000019-0000-0000-c000-000000000046}
fixme:shell:ShellView_OnNotify LVN_KEYDOWN key=0x00000090

and then the following line was over and over:

fixme:d3d_shader:upload_palette P8 surface loaded without a palette.

I hope this helps, if there's anything else I can do please let me know.
