For those that didn't follow the kernel discussion closely: We're currently at
revision 4 of this patch.

As the original patch doesn't fix all syscall paths, and as each change in this
area might affect performance, there is a lot of discussion going on. ;)

For those that want to play the game in the meantime and are using an AMD
processor, the trick by Michael Müller (comment 19) is the easiest solution.
All others will have to compile a kernel with at least patch 1/2 from above
applied. Patch 2/2 is optional, but might give some additional performance
boost by reducing overhead for context switches.
