Confirmed on wine 1.7.26
This is affecting sound effects, voices (only some), interface sounds, etc.
everything but background music and cinematic sound.
The game uses a library "nuSound2_win.dll" to handle the affected sound effects
(which seems to be causing some problems even on windows eg.

from that I couldn't find any relevant information about it as this game seems
to be the only one using it. 
If this is indeed a new library wine is already doing a pretty good job in
running it, it's just a little bit off.
