Nothing was fixed in Wine.

The need for mfc42 is bug 657, but that's not the cause of the crash in rpcss
you are reporting. I can't reproduce that crash in plain Wine, with or without
mfc42.

I understand you need to use that patched version of Wine. You need to
understand that it is not supported here. http://wiki.winehq.org/Bugs

Marking WORKSFORME. If someone can reproduce the crash in plain Wine, it can be
reopened.
