I can confirm that in 1.7.27, screen redraw on the sample file takes 1-5
seconds when zooming in or out with the mousewheel. Tested on Nvidia GT 630,
331.38 driver. Whether that's a regression, I don't know. If the performance on
your system is slower than that, I suspect it is related to your problems with
the Nvidia driver package.
