Can confirm this is still happening on 1.7.39 -- as soon as virtual memory
crosses 4Gb an out of memory error occurs.

Lower graphic settings seem to delay the issue, but it still eventually runs
out of memory.

Additionally, I have tried all of the various settings for the
RenderTargetLockMode registry setting as they are described here:
http://wiki.winehq.org/DirectDraw

This bug seems to happen most often during boss battles and busy fight scenes
with lots of characters (rendered or not -- I've set the settings for rendered
characters to the lowest setting).
