I can reproduce the problem in Deus Ex:GOTY (the problem is not present in the
original demo version).

There are many mods available to the game, I tried the Shifter mod and that
fixed the issue in Deus Ex:GOTY for me:

Tested in Wine 1.7.41, Deus Ex:GOTY (GOG)
