I can confirm using the latest release Wine 1.8 stable the game has random
crashes if a PS3 controller is connected using OS X El Capitan Bluetooth.

Once I disable my bluetooth interface I can play using the keyboard, but it is
a bit frustrating. I hope this information can be useful to you.
