So the FAQ § 7.4 should be rewritten to explain the exact procedure to use. The
example given does *NOT* work currently.

There seems to be ssome corner-case counterexamples :

I am thinking of launching Linux bibaries from customizable but not
recompilable Windows binaries (case in point : the Zotero plugin for Word,
which (hopefully) can be modified to talk to a Linux Firefox binary...).
